"... our approach to meeting client briefs ..."

Featherhall Avenue, Edinburgh

PPCA Ltd was commissioned to prepare a planning statement to accompany an application by Holstead Lukas Partnership (Architects) for a two storey extension to a first floor flat.

A previous application for a similar extension was refused by the Council and a subsequent appeal was refused.

The proposed extension was revised by the architect however pre-application discussions with the council indicated that they would object to any form of extension.

PPCA Ltd was commissioned to see if a solution could be found.  Following review of the project PPCA Ltd prepared a Planning Statement to justify the proposal, taking account the previous appeal and council policy.  The statement successfully demonstrated, taking into account the site history, current design and council policy, that the scheme would be acceptable in terms of scale, form and amenity.

Following consideration of the evidence and arguments put forward the Council granted permission.
